BENEFITS OF ADULT DAY PROGRAM

Supervision

People sitting and talking under a blue canopy outside a building.

Many seniors and adult's w/disabilities can stay in their homes longer with some supervision. Being alone all day increases the risk of falls and accidents. Spending time in a supervised, social setting helps them stay independent longer.

Sense of Purpose

Turning depression and isolation into smiles and happiness

Many older adults lose their sense of purpose after retirement or illness, leading to isolation and depression. Ohana Adult Day Program helps restore that purpose and gives them a reason to look forward to each day.

Social Engagement

Adequate Nutrition

Social participation greatly boosts physical and emotional health. Staying engaged helps reduce cognitive decline, isolation, depression, and dementia risk, while fostering friendships and support.

Many seniors skip nutritious meals because they don’t want to eat alone, cook for one, or use heavy cookware. At Ohana, your loved one enjoys at least one healthy meal a day—plus plenty of snacks—while in our care.

Relief for the Caregiver

you don't have to be depressed and isolated

Caregivers need time for themselves—especially when juggling work, family, and caregiving. It’s okay to take a break—you deserve it. Ohana gives you the peace of mind to recharge, knowing your loved one is safe and cared for. Your well-being matters too!

Mental & Physical Stimulation

Seniors and adult's w/disabilities need mental stimulation, which they often lack. Socializing and engaging in activities helps keep their minds sharp and alert. Studies show those with regular social interaction maintain mental clarity longer than those who are isolated.
